I have a pond that’s about 4,000 gallons, and I used the recommended amount based on the gallon size. At first, I wasn’t sure if it would work, so I applied it to just one section of the pond. The water cleared up, which gave me the confidence to treat the whole pond. Now, we’re already seeing a big improvement—the water is getting clearer. It does take some time, but it’s definitely working. Meanwhile, my ducks have been swimming in the pond the whole time without any issues.

To be honest, and it was my fault, it’s way too much for my little pond. I had to weigh a packet and decide out a dosage for my pond’s capacity. My pond is only 15’ round by 4’ deep so I now have 11 extra packets that will probably go bad before I can use them. 😕

My pond was a bit large for this container so the effect wasn't super drastic, but it definitely did its job beautifully and I wound up buying a few more containers to make it get the full effect. It takes a few days for the color to really pop, but when it does...wow! It's a truly beautiful effect that makes the water look gorgeous. It is super concentrated and a great value considering the color lasts for quite a while. The only reason I needed more was because my pond really is quite large (almost a full acre - I should have known one wouldn't do it, haha!). But when the directions are followed and the correct amount is used, the effect is stunning.

Works well, I have a deep small pond by my house and filled by runoff. I started with 2 packs twice 1st month. Weekly one pack keeps pond clean looking and no Algae. Pond is roughly quarter acre. Will buy again.

Worked as described

I used these packets in a backyard pond that had started looking cloudy after a stretch of warm weather. The packets were simple to use and saved me from measuring out powders or liquids. After adding them, I mostly just let the pond do its thing while keeping an eye on the water. What I liked was how little effort was involved compared to some other pond treatments I’ve tried. So far it is cleaning the pond. It looks great. The geese come to bathe, drink the water, and feed on the small fish.

We have been waiting to use this until we could dredge the leaves from our backyard pond but finally decided to try it without cleaning. The water was very dark from oak leaves staining, but this pond clarifier really did what it claims! It clarified the water so we can see the bottom of the pond and the goldfish! It was so easy and now our pond looks so much cleaner, even though it isn't! Can't beat those results so I recommend this product.

It helps to clarify the pond. I can almost see the bottom. Seems to work the best when the water is really warm.
I just throw the packets into the water, away from the wind. The packets floats for a few minutes then sink.
It does not work well in deep areas I think because the packets (and its contents of bacteria) sinks. Barley straw works better for my deep pond, but they are unsightly because they float. Nothing is perfect, I guess.

I recently purchased some acreage with two ponds that are connected by a narrow waterway. One pond stays fairly clear, but the other pond has some algae growth. This is my first time with a pond, so I didn’t know what I was going to do. I decided to order this pond clarifier treatment in hopes to clear up the icky pond. The pond is home to many frogs, turtles, and fish so I wanted something natural that wouldn’t harm the wildlife. The directions are clearly printed, and this is very easy to use. It does have a smell to it, so just don’t inhale when you open the bucket. I like that the packets are water soluble so you simply throw the amount of packets needed into the pond. I decided to throw one packet into each end of the pond. Within a week, I noticed a difference in the clarity of the water. I also noticed that the wildlife was still enjoying the pond so I know that this is not harmful. The appearance of the water seems cleaner, and the algae growth has slowed. I find that this is effective and a good value for the amount of packets. I recommend it!

I ordered this hoping it would help improve the condition of a fairly mucky pond on our property. To give it the best chance of success, we used it alongside a couple of pond pumps to keep the water circulating and followed up with additional treatments over the course of several weeks.

Unfortunately, I didn't notice much of a difference. The pond is home to ducks, so it accumulates a tremendous amount of organic waste, feathers, and sludge, and that may simply have been more than this product could realistically handle. We were hoping to see at least some reduction in the muck or an improvement in water clarity, but the pond looked largely the same throughout the treatment period.

I don't necessarily think this means the product won't work in other situations. A lightly stocked ornamental pond may have much better results. Our pond is an unusually challenging environment, and duck owners know just how quickly water quality can decline.

Overall, it was easy to apply ( just chuck in a bag) and worth trying, but it didn't provide the improvement we were hoping to see in our heavily used duck pond.

We have a smaller goldfish pond we made. Maybe a few hundred gallons. It’s about 10’ or so and only two feet deep at its deepest. This year, we got a sudden growth of algae that just took off in a matter of days. I could not stop its growth. But then I used this. Two applications over several days and this had the algae dead and the water noticeably clearer. Highly recommend!

Water soluble packets, natural but doesn't say what is in it. 12 packets in the bucket. The description says 1 packet treats 13,500 Gallons. The container says 1 packet for 12,000 sq ft. (For reference: 43,560 sq ft = 1 acre). Do the math when dosing. I have a roughly 3/4 acre farm pond. Using the square foot option: that's roughly 32,760 sq feet give or take of surface area. So to do a regular 'dose' I'd need 2 3/4 bags for 'regular maintenance'. Twice that if doing the 'reinforced treatment' per the instructions on the label. Also noted that the instructions clearly state to apply on sunny mornings with the water temp is above 45 degrees F. Mornings. Also note that dosage is listed as 'every week'. My pond is not that bad as it is spring fed, so I opted to use 2 packets per week. I threw one packet into the west end, one into the east end. So far, so good. fish are alive, the ends where algae was starting to form have mostly cleared up over several weeks. No smells. The wildlife, mostly grouse, ducks, deer and foxes are still using the pond. Easy to use the packets, seem to be a good maintenance option. Depending on your pond, it's depth, condition, size - I imagine it might take a dose or two to figure out the optimal amount you need. Seems to work well for me.
